We provide full support in solving immigration matters for foreigners coming to Slovakia. We are here for you and happy to help.

Immigration law services are considered legal services in Slovakia. Due to our more than 15 years of experience in this field, our law firm provides full support in dealing with immigration matters for foreigners coming to Slovakia. ProfiDeCon Slovakia provides services related to obtaining residence permits, work permits, business permits and study permits for foreign nationals.

We work closely with the employer and the (prospective) employee. Both sides fully understand the immigration process from start to finish. To this end, we explain step-by-step all possible details, provide guidance on the authorities’ requirements and prepare an estimated timeline for each case. We will prepare the necessary documentation and guide the applicant through the entire process until the grant of residency in Slovakia.

Employment Residence Permit (non-EU/EEA national)

One of the main conditions for legal employment in Slovakia for nationals of third countries (non-EEA countries) is a residence permit for employment purposes. Once this type of permit has been issued, holders can work in Slovakia on the basis of a Slovak employment contract, usually for 2 years. This type of permit can be subsequently renewed.

Temporary Residence for Business Purposes (non-EU/EEA national)

If a national of a third country wants to do business in Slovakia, whether in the form of a trade licence as a natural person or through a company, he or she must have a residence permit for the purpose of doing business. Once a residence permit is granted (unless you are an OECD national), your right to run a business becomes active.

In addition to preparing the necessary documentation for filing an application with the Foreign Police, we will be happy to assist you in setting up your company or obtaining your trade licence.

Temporary Residence for Family Reunion Purposes (non-EU/EEA national)

In the case where a foreigner traveling to Slovakia for work or business is accompanied by their family, family members can apply for temporary residence for the purpose of family reunification. The length of the granted residence depends on the length of the residence granted to the guarantor, and all must have the same address of residence in Slovakia. A spouse with this type of residence may benefit from a simplified employment opportunity after a certain period of granted temporary residence.
